well you have to drop the gas tank to do this there is to straps that hold it up.

Take it to a auto glass repair place, they'll charge $10 if anything (it take them under 5 minutes to stick it back on for good).

I don't know about the gas light, but you do have a gauge, when the little needle hits the "E" it means your outta gas. :)

the fuel filter for this is in the gas tank, it is part of the fuel pump module.
