Unfortunately the immobilizer was created as an anti theft device, if it was easy to bypass it would not be a very good one, now would it. Best advice would be find a mechanic with good experience with your particular vehicle or the dealer.

This may seem like a cop-out, but it isn't. I would suggest having the immobilizer module replaced by a technician. The reason is this: since your vehicle was meant to employ an immobilizer, your SUV's performance will likely be adversely affected by bypassing the immobilizer.

How to bypass an immobiliser

you cannot disable the immobiliser. it is a system mercedes has put into to prevent theft. however, you can bypass the immobiliser (otherwise known as EIS, Electronic Ignition Switch) in order to switch ON the car, but you wont be able to start it.
what you need to do it remove the connector from the back of the EIS module and bridge terminals 15r and terminal 30. i recommend getting a wiring diagram specific to your car to be sure of the terminals.

however, do this at your own risk.
