Chevy 3/4 ton 6 liter transmission is running

Fill at side fill hole until fluid begins to run back out. Let it run until it stops, install plug and wipe up excess. If fully drained, usually holds less than 3 liters.

dexron VI is newest level and runs at hotter temps with no degradation. all Dex is syn, (since mark2)mark1 was Whale oil.(omg)
buy real Dexron not the clones.

we have a ford f150 5.4 liter and we toe about 6 tons on our trailer, a 5.0 liter could probily tow about 2 tons because the suspension in mountaineers are only made to with hold 1 tons.

More than likely you have a bad speed sensor located at the rear of transmission housing on the drivers side.

To check fluid level, transmission should be hot and engine running at idle. Pull the transmission dip stick out "red" wipe clean and re-insert. Check level of transmission fluid as indicated on the dip stick using the second reading and make sure the Astro is parked on leveled ground. Add Dexron III or VI as needed and do not over fill.
