If the weather is cold enough it will have white smoke coming out the exhaust it just indicates the moisture that is the by product of combustion and as the engine gets to operating temp it should diminish. if it smells sweet it indicates that the engine is burning coolant.

SOURCE: Nissan Sentra 2000 model. Thick White smoke coming out of exhaust

White smoke is caused by coolant or water coming out the tail pipe. There is a chance that the white smoke was caused by water splashing up from a puddle onto the exhaust pipe. Keep an eye on the coolant level in the radiator in any event.

SOURCE: white smoke coming from exhaust when accelerating

This is usually an indication of a bad head gasket.I gasket. The white smoke is the coolant leaking out of the engine and winding up in the oil passages, due to a bad head gasket. To confirm this,
1. check oil. Is level increased, or milky appearance?
2. Is coolant level dropping, but u don't see any signs of leaks?
The above indicates a bad head gasket, causing the white smoke u describe. Let me know how u make out.

SOURCE: car is blowing white smoke from exhaust when i step on gas

The most likely cause is a blown head gasket, but it could also be a warped head, was the motor overheated prior to the problem starting? The white smoke is steam, check the underside of the oil fill cap and dipstick for a grayish brown residue, check the coolant for a low level and oil conatamination, either of these conditions verify that a head isn't fully sealed.Unless your moderately skilled mechanically this a job to be done by a shop.A good shop will perform a leakdown test to verify this.

To begin with, check for fuel in engine oil and do a compression test. If fuel system is not functioning properly (running rich) that will point you in one direction (temp sender, pressure regulator , map or airflow sensor etc) If compression is low, you may have internal engine problem (burned piston, broken ring, or combination of fuel problem causing gas washed cylinders)

White smoke at exhoust and puch water out of the radiator

Blown head gasket or cracked head. I'll guess this happened after overheating the engine. The compression of the affected cylinder will blow coolant out of the radiator and coolant in the cylinder burning shows up as white smoke in the exhaust.12_24_2012_1_46_50_pm.png

I have a nissan sentra eccs with automatic transmission 1993 model, the exhaust is releasing a lot of white smoke, is this normal?

sorry but if you have white smoke coming out your exhaust, most likely you blew a head gasket. antifreeze is leaking into your exhaust and out the tailpipe. check your engine oil dipstick and see if the oil is a milky color. your local auto parts store sells a temp fix for it just ask for a head gasket sealer. good luck

I have a 2001 nissan sentra with 217,000 miles but runs great still. I changed the oil myself and now when I drive my car down the road white smoke starts pouring out of the exhaust only when I am...

No water loss? If it's an automatic ,****** fluid also burns white.
Vacuum line to a control valve on the ******,find it and pull the hose off the trans. end ,if there is fluid ,the modulator is bad.

Nissan Sentra 2000 model. Thick White smoke coming out of exhaust

Is the car runnig little rough on cold start up in themorning for few seconds?? Because I have done quite a few headgaskets on QG18 Sentra aka 1.8 liter nissan sentra. here is the test. Fill up your overflow bottle to the full mark and check the coolant level in about 5 days.(drive it normally as if nothing is going on) If the level is down, your head gasket is gone. How about the check engine light , is it on?? post results.
