SOURCE: My 1996 Toyota Camry will NOT start or stay

I have been researching your problem for two hours and can find no reference to indicate what would cause this. It's possible that a fuse or relay going to the fuel pump is not working, and the scan tool is basically bypassing the fuse or relay and allowing the fuel pump to operate. The other thing that came ot mind was the immobilizer being activated due to an interruption in the battery power to the computer, and the scan tool is temporarily bypassing the immobilizer. Are you getting any codes from the scanner which might indicate a problem? I am assuming your diagnostic port is located in the pull down fuse box which is hidden behind a door in the dash. Once you unplug the scanner, make sure the fuse box is returned to the stored position before trying to start the engine. These are only suggestions that, hopefully will help solve your dilemma. Quite frankly, I am baffled at this point.

SOURCE: 1996 Camry LE V6 Engine

this should be an OBD2 system and the connector should be under the dash on the drivers side to hook up a scan tool.if not then under the hood on the passenger side(i think)by the firewall either on the inner fender of the firewall there should be a small black box with the word diagnostic on it.if not it will be same location but on the drivers side.either system you will have to have a scan tool to pull the code from the computer.

SOURCE: I have a 1996 camry code po135 can anyone tell me which o2 sensor to replace the car have 4 o2 sensor i check the code with my code reader it tell me o2 bank-1 sensor -1 where that located at on car..

Bank one sensor one is on the side with cylinder one and before the catalytic converter.
Please be aware the code is for the heater circuit which may mean the sensor is bad, or the sensor may be ok and the problem is in the heater circuit.

The toyota camry 1996 is turning over but would not start

Do the spark plugs have spark? Is it getting fuel? Answers to these questions should lead you in the proper direction. Ignition or fuel. Get a code reader to check for trouble codes . They are fairly reasonable in price and can be a great help if you have a code stored. They can be purchased at a retail auto parts store. They can only tell you if you have a bad sensor or something of that nature though.

Where do i plug in a code reader on a 1993 lincoln town car?

flyersqod, I believe that you have an OBD II code reader which is what is being sold to the public. OBD II starts with vehicles that were manufactured in 1996 and later and it mandated that all vehicles have a universal plug-in adapter to accommodate the scanners. Pre-1996 vehicles had a different plug-in for their respective makes. GM, Ford and Chrysler as well as all the foreign models all had different plug-ins. This is the case with your 1993 Town Car. The plug-in for your vehicle is located in the engine compartment and has two plugs on it. This cannot be accessed by an OBD II reader. If you want your vehicle scanned you will have to take it somewhere that has an OBD I scanner. Good luck with this.

2005 Toyota Camry 2.2L sputters/stall when accelerating at low speeds, even worse when A/C is on. Also uses more than usual (20%) on gas in/out of town.

replace spark plugs, air filter, and distributor pack. you're getting fuel, but no fire. either the plugs aren't sparking or sparking hot enough.

you can also go to an auto parts store and borrow their fault code reader. hook it up to your car (the plug is by the driver's knees) and it'll tell you if there is any other problems.

1996 toyota camry check engine on what could be the cause vehicle has 210000 miles

Take the car to a diagnotic centre where it can be scanned. It does not necessarily mean the car has a problem but there is an error message generated from its transmission. No panic
