Probably not--This sounds like uneven pressure from the hydraulic pump or problems with the drive motors. Check that the hydraulic oil filter is in good condition (not blocked) and have the pressure in the hydraulics checked.. Have the hydraulic controls checked for correct operation. (if electric controls check for voltage problems to the solenoids and if manual check for control valve problems)
SOURCE: Side door Plastic rollers are worn out causing
I took the cheep way out. I got a used shower door roller mechanism. (the kind that slides in tracks.) I dremmeled out the plastic rollers and then shaved them down to the right size. then took off the door and poped them right onto where the old rollers were. Perfect fix with a bit of ingenuity. 50 cents and about one hour of work.

Thanks for the help on this because its hard when I don't know much about excavators. I have found the main cause of this problem to be a bottom track roller which had a collapsed bearing. This allowed the roller to be pushed upwards as the track moved over uneven ground. Although not in itself a big problem but this particular roller was being pushed up into the undercarriage frame and hitting a bracket causing it to bind. This could not be seen until the roller was removed and a mirror inserted. Not all rollers are close to these brackets but this one was. Therefore the track was sometimes being forced to grind over a stalled bottom roller which seems to be the cause of the intermittent shuddering that occured on takeoff. There may still be issues with the hydrallics which are getting old but I think I have solved the main problem.
