2005 Navigator Mirror won't fully fold / unfold. I went through a car wash and forgot to fold the mirrors in. The right / passenger side mirror took a "WHACK". The mirror element is unbroken, and the mirror is still adjustable from the interior control, but the folding motor does not seem to be properly engaging the mirror housing. It will move slightly (a half inch or so) in each direction, but will not fully open or fold. If I fully rotate the mirror housing forward (not retracted, but toward the hood, past it's normal position), I hear a loud "pop", but it still does not engage the motor, nor does it "settle" in it's "normal" open position. Suggestions?

Yukon xl 2009 passenger power fold mirror won't fold

the cable that controls the mirror is more than likely broken or if it's gear driven the gear is stripped or broke. I would first try to take the switch apart and clean it

2004 navigator driver's mirror not working

The first thing to do is have the mirror control switch tested, remove the switch from the door panel and proble it with a 12 volt test light as you operate the different functions of the p[ower side mirrors, if that is ok then replace the mirror.

2005 navigator power folding mirrors

The wiring harness to the mirrors is likely rubbed through, pull the door panel off on the driver side first and check the mirror harness.

2007 passenger folding mirror will not work

{: ) Have someone control the power fold buttons, while you check closely the passenger mirror. If you can feel or hear even a faint hum of the motor while commanded, try giving it a little help, but don't force it if you think it doesn't have enough power to extend or retract itself. The motor could be really stuck or inoperative.
Sometimes when the mirror has been accidentally or manually folded, it needs to be reset by just pressing on the fold buttons a few rounds and let the mirrors fold by itself. Like an exercise.
If you hear the humming noise whenever the fold buttons are pressed, we can assume that the circuit on that side is ok since it is responding electrically, and that a jammed or stuck mechanism is preventing it to move.
If you don't feel or hear any humming, as in totally no sign of response, then there will be additional considerations before deciding to go for a replacement mirror. You will need to confirm if the fault is on the wirings, a door module, or the mirror motor itself. A scan tool test may be recommended for effective diagnosis.
The power fold mirror can be serviced as an assembly. So, goodluck.

Passenger mirror not folding in

Grab the passenger mirror with both hands. Fold the mirror all the way forward, all the way back and then back to the home position. Sometimes the mirror will get off track if it has been bumped or moved out of place manually.

Installing a Nissan Sentra Passenger Side Manual Non Folding Mirror.

had to install a driver side non folding mirror, fairly simply to say the least. There's a cover on the interior of the door, near the window, remove the cover, remove the 3 screws, need i believe a 10mm socket. If a power window, unhook the circuit. Replace new mirror.
