Seen this a hundred times, the fuel pump was failing due to age, allowing the fuel to get too low too many times, and not changing the fuel filter when you changed the filter you effectively lost the prime in the pump and due to its condition it can not pump enough anymore was that your problem? Im guessing that it was
SOURCE: Have a 91 geo metro.
There could be lots of reasons. You need several things mechanically to make the engine work: fuel, air (compressed), and an ignition source (spark).
Without getting too technical, check the basic things first. Are the spark plugs clean and not broken? Are the spark plug wires hard and possibly cracked or are they nice and soft the way they should be like new wires? Is the carb or fuel injectors clean? Is the air filter dirty? Is the fuel filter clogged? Are the fuel lines/connections leaking?
Check those basic things first.....then move onto more complicated things next.
SOURCE: Can Geo Metro parts be used to fix a Chevrolet Metro?
The hood will be the same, but the bumper will be different: the Geo Metro had its turn signals in the bumper and the Chevy Metro had them in with the headlights. The bumpers also look different, however their mounts may be the same. If your sister wants fer car to look the same you should find a bumper from a 1998-2001 Chevy Metro.
