My land rover will not come out of park.

Install new brake light / safety switch.

The vss is located on the left side of the transfer box

Go to the dealer

code p 0884 refers to transmission control module (TCM)--power input signal intermittent malfunction==== causes ---wiring ---poor connections ---TCM
While that code appears what you have indicates that the torque converter clutch servo/ solenoid is not operational hence no drive action
The TCM could be affect that or you may have 2 problems

CHECK ON YOUR SERVICE PORTFOLIO FOR THE CODE OR CONTACT THE NEAREST LAND ROVER REPRESENTATIVE AROUND YOU.

Get this to a Land Rover tech asap.
Module could be a central convenience module or body control module. Either way, wiring in these vehicles can be very tricky. There are just certain vehicles you don't mess around with unless you have all kinds of time on your hands. Bring it to a certified Land Rover garage. Could definitely be the basis for all of your odd issues.

Quick guess.....brake light fuse needs to be replaced.

First check that the brake lamps work, if they do not , check the fuses , the switch and wires to it at the brake pedal. The transmission shift lock is controlled by a brake switch. Hope that helps

The code P1451 on a Land Rover is "Leakage Detection Module Motor power stage error Drive cycle A:Signal out of range - above maximum". This is an OBD-II diagnostic system code. As far as I know, a 1995 Land Rover Discovery does not use a OBD-II system. Is it possible that this rover is a later model year
