Hi, There are two places to look. First, under the hood, (I'm sure you've already done some of this but for completeness sake...) Check to see if you can physically move the shifts on the transmission. If they will not move, disconnect the cables and try again. This is to determine whether the problem is in the tranny or the linkage. If the shifting occurs okay when disconnected the problem is either the cables or the column. Often, due to wear and tear the ignition switch can with the locks involved screw-up the linkage enough to cause problems like the one you're having. I will need to know more in order to make a more accurate assessment. e.g. Key in/out, running/off, I believe it is your linkage however.
