My 1995 Ford F250, ABS light is on, and there are no brake lights. I checked the fuses, and they are good, as well as the bulbs. What else could it be?

We checked the fuses, and the bulbs, however, the abs light keeps coming on, and the brake lights, will not work. This happened, after I hooked up a car hauler. At first all the lights quit working,. I replaced fuses, and the rest seem fine, but still no brake lights.

It sounds like you might have a broken wire somewhere if you have no back brake lights.

Testimonial: "Is there any tricks or short cuts, I can take, to figure out which it may be, as I cant afford a lot to have it serviced?"

No there is really not. But i would double check the fuses, and look under the truck to see if you have any broken or loose wires. It could also be a bad ground somewhere.

    Good Luck.

SOURCE: abs light on

I'm a Ford service adviser. There are many reasons for the
abs warning indicator to come on. The usual cause is from a
faulty speed sensor. Either a wheel speed sensor or the
differential speed sensor. I don't think the light is related to your vandalism. You might want to take the truck to an auto parts store and have them read the codes for you. Most auto parts stores will do this for free.
Good Luck

I HAVE NO BRAKE LIGHTS,HAZARDS OR SIGNALS. i HAVE REPLACED THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH AND THE BRAKE SWITCH ALL FUSES ARE GOOD.

Well you missed something .Let me ask you this what wasn't working before you replaced the multifunction switch.
The brake lights if the blinkers the running lights the head lights int lights all work must be the contact point or switch at the brake padal or a ground issue to the bulbs or the bulbs are incorrect Ford has this issue with the bulbs they look the same but there not check that for the brake lights .
I have had the same problem the lights work they done work correctly and its hard to tell .Make sure they are the correct bulbs

All lights work on my 92ford f250 brake lights don't work new brake switch, signal switch, bulbs check the fuses they good no brake lights still

check the grounding of the lamp sockets and that you are getting voltage to them. trace back along the wires until you find voltage...this is where your problem lies.

I have a 99 ford f250 5.4 super duty and dash lights and running lights come on when I press the brakes. I have changed multi function switch. Light Switch and brake switch. Checked all the bulbs and...

It could be if you tail light bulb and brake light bulb are the same bulb. You might have put the bulb in the wrong way round so the two silver bits on the bottom of the bulb joins the 2 wires together so when you brake the side lights come on and dashboard lights up or the other thing it might be is a broken wire hope this helps

1990 Ford f250 brake lights and turn signals won't work - checked all fuses, flasher and bulbs and all are good, what could problem be??

Well the brake light and turn signal circuits are on two different fuses, but they both go thru the turn signal switch.
So I would start by checking for power in and out of the turn signal switch for each circuit.

No brakes lights on 2000 Ford F250 after pulling trailer. Checked all fuses and are OK. Rear brake light above cab is working. Checked both bulbs also. Thanks Bill

Depending on where your truck was made you will either find the fuse under the gauge cluster or under the hood in the power distribution box. The fuse for the trailer lights is separate from the fuse for the truck brake-lights.

My 1995 Ford f 250 bad fuse problem

look for a short to ground in the tail light circuit. Place a 12v light bulb in place of the fuse. If there is a short, it should light. When you find the short, the light will go out. Looks like the brown wire is the focus.

96 f250 circuit, don't have 95. similar. please rate as fixya if this helps.

Abs

Rex08, have you checked the bulbs? This truck is rare in that the ABS light will come on when the brake light bulbs go out.

If the lights are on all the time check the adjustment of the switch on the pedal. Don't adjust it too far in, you will have slight brake application while you are driving which is not good.
