The drain should be at the lowest point on the oil pan, the rear of the engine near the trans.

Where is the oil drain plug on a 2004 mercedes sl500 302 HP V8

It has to be at the lowest point of the oil pan. Perhaps a cover blocks you seeing it?

How much work to replace a damaged oil pan on a 1984 Cressida

Its pretty straight forward if you have performed this job previously on other vehicles. Jack or support the vehicle to achieve enough clearance to perform the work safely. Drain all remaining oil, remove the oil pan. Clean the gasket surface, if its a cast iron engine block you can use some scotch brite with brake clean or carb cleaner to help remove all remaining gasket material if it is not a rubber gasket. If it is aluminum be very careful not to remove aluminum during the cleaning process. Make sure the gasket surface is dry and free of oily residue. Install new gasket, you may use silicone. Make sure you use a minimal amount, just enough to hold the gasket in place, or very thin layer on both sides of the gasket. reinstall the oil pan and tighten bolts to factory specifications in proper tightening sequence.

Where is oil drain plug on 2005 V8 SRX caddilac

crawl under the car with a drain contaner and a cresent wrench. Under the engine is the oil pan. The drain plug is located on the bottom end or slightly above on the side. It may be covered in dirt so scrap around. It has to be there. No other place for the oil to come out. It is possable it is a plug type with a large allen wrench hole or a squar hole that a ratchet will fit in to but most of them it is a bolt type. Don't forget to change the oil filter when changing oil. Let me know if this helps, The Raz

Is it a problem if I add "green" coolant to my 2004 5.3liter V8? This coolant is recommended for 2000 or older models.

Yes, These engines are a combination of aluminum castings and cast iron castings. The orange dexcool is designed to control the acidity of the coolant. If you put in green it is going to eat away at the aluminum. It could cause leaks in your head gaskets, intake gaskets, water pumps and promote clogging of important coolant areas in the block.

97sebring 2.5 litre(is it interference or non interference engine

Yes I double Salkim08's solution. Since your motor is made from Aluminum, this could be a big sign that it is an interferance motor. Aluminum expands twice as much as iron. Most old fashion V motors ( v6's V8's) are made with an Iron block and Aluminum heads. But new Transverse motors( sideways front wheel drive motors), block and cylinder head, are made of aluminum.
