How do I replace wiper blades

First, pull on the wiper arm until it raises and locks into the service position. The wiper arm will stand by itself once you raise it past a certain point.
Then find the clip on the underside of the wiper arm (rotate the blade slightly to get to it.
Press the clip in while simultaneously pulling the old wiper blade off the wiper arm. You can then discard the old blade.
Align the new wiper blade with the wiper arm track. Slide it along the track until you hear it click.
Repeat this process with the other wiper blade to complete the replacement of wiper blades on your Highlander.
Return the wiper arms to their normal position against the windshield. Done!

I need to replace wiper blades on a highlander. I had to get a new arm and now I need to take off the blades on the old and I cannot figure it out.

I just changed the wiper blades on my 2008 Highlander base. It is too simple. Pull the arm up so it is perpendicular to the car. In the middle of the wiper arm facing outward is a clip, simply pull the clip up (no tools needed) and take the arm off. Too simple, very different that all the other approaches for wiper blades.

  1. REMOVE RR WIPER BLADE
    1. Raise the rear wiper blade to the position as shown in the illustration where the meshing of the claw disengages with a clicking sound. NOTE: Be careful not to break the claw.
    2. Pull straight the rear wiper blade to vehicle's left from the wiper arm. NOTE: Do not fold the rear wiper arm with the rear wiper blade removed from it.1722d05.gif

  1. REMOVE REAR WIPER RUBBER
    1. Place the rear wiper with the rear end of the rubber protruded from the blade stopper as shown in the illustration. NOTE: Do not pull out the wiper rubber forcibly, as the backing plates will become deformed or the blade claws will become damaged. HINT: The rubber can be easily pulled out by pushing the middle area of the blade.

2006 Toyota Highlander

just how you remove your front wiper blades, they are the same.

different clips, different solutions.

if the rod's end is bend as a "u" shape, then press the plastic in the middle of the "u" and pull it downwards towards the back shield.

if the rod's end is just straight, push the clip downwards and this time, pull the wiper blade outwards , away from the back shield.

tnx 4 using fixya,
