must there be one,? NO !
what is there is covered in the SM service manual
all brake lamps dead? or stuck on? not told or dim used.
car runs perfectly otherwise? head lamps too???????
the FUSE is marked "STOP" on this car. F20 stop dash box.
most cars use a BCM to run stops amps (and vast other lamps)
USA car we check fuses, then scan the PCM with scan tool
it then tells me what fails like BCM output STOP?

Stop Light Switch Circuit or P1520
this DTC fails?
the book shows brakes bad, is bad switch brakes.
no BCM
OR BAD WIREs at rear of car to brake lamps.
or trailer hitch , bad install acts.(poor wiring)

take off the console and under there is the nuts you need to let go to remove the cables

it can be adjusted by taking off the rear drums and adjusting your rear brakes. or take out the console and there is 2 nuts under there where you can adjust the cables. good luck

I had a similiar problem with mine the hand brake was stuck on and wouldn't let the new drums go back on.

you have to remove brake pads, rotors, struts, tie rod end and lower ball joint. whole unit comes out then. the bearing has to be pressed out and new one pressed back in good luck

get it inspected, You may just have one sticking caliper that need replacement. the brake pads will be pretty worn on that wheel so you may needs pads also.

you can use 10mm socket to adjust cable while hand brake is off. it lives in hand brake handle area at rear of handle look with torch

A brake job is something that is done properly and I've seen so many bad brake jobs in my time. I know it is rather expensive to get a brake job done but to do it yourself one has to be very carefull that it is done right. New rotors are about 30 dollars each and then there are the seals and rotors that have to be serviced properly. Needlessly to do the whole brake job would be quite a job for you if you haven't done it before.
