Parts will cost you more than the car is worth, on just the rebuild. Hard parts for the trans are way more. Just taking care of the problem will cost you way too much money. On just pulling the transmssion too many times.

You may need a transmission shop for this.
Some older cars used a vac modulator to control shift time, but I don't see one listed for a 94 Tempo. Whatever Ford uses to control shift time may be faulty, or the kickdown cable to the throttle body may be sticking. It could have a solenoid inside that does what the modulator once did.

1994 Ford Escort, auto trans, 83,000 mi, randomly won't shift from 1st to 2nd, randomly loses power at hwy speeds

It could be an internal problem with a pump, or it could be it needs to be serviced really bad. Most 'oil change' places can also do transmission services... I'd try that first, before paying a big repair bill to a shop. good luck.

TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT INTO NEXT GEAR

You likely need the have the ****** rebuilt. Please confirm this with a local transmission repair shop as it is a very expensive repair, more than likely more than the car is worth..

1994 ford tempo; vehicle upshifts late, won't shift until 35-40 mph after high reving fro 35 mph, then again at 65 mph after high reving from 55 mph to 65 mph.

Sounds like your transmission is on the fritz. Try changing the fluid and filter see if that helps. If that doesnt try a can of anti slip from any good parts place (Napa). If this dosent help it's time for a rebuild on the transmission
