Re: where is the factory amp located ?
In the trunk up next to wheel wells. Start peeling carpet out of the trunk walls and you will find it. The rear speaker wires run right to it.
Please beware that only the 10 speaker systems have a factory amp. The stock 6 speaker systems run straight off of the factory radio. You can buy a factory amp bypass harness for this model at any good car audio shop.

depends if there is a internal amplifier int this vehicle some model cars have just a radio some have a radio with built in amp usually in the dash or located in the trunk check your model to see.could be something as easy as a bad fuse or a bad wire to the amp if no amp then your radio is junk you could either replace it with another factory radio or install an aftermarket radio that will not only be cheaper but also perform better as most factory radios are poorly made .hope this helps good luck
I just installed an after market radio in my 94 Quest. The easiest way is to buy a Nissan Quest Radio Wiring Harness for Premium Sound.
It will have the complete wire hookups.
You can also hook up the blue wire from the new radio to thefactory (I think Blue or Blue/White) wire on the harness.
That will turn the factory amp on.Hope this helps ,good luck
