code p 0088 refers to fuel rail/ system pressure ---too high===causes fuel pump---fuel pressure regulator--fuel return line blockage ---mechanical fault
Engine code p0088 is for a problem with the fuel rail pressure sensor. You did not say what the year and engine size is, do you have a fan clutch or an electric fan on the radiator ?
CODE PO87 FUEL RAIL SYSTEM PRESSURE TOO LOW. AND CODE PO88 FUEL RAIL SYSTEM PRESSURE TOO HIGH. SOUND LIKE PROBLEM IN THE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR OR FUEL RETURN LINE STOPPED UP.
Means your computer pick up a bad signal from one or more of your engine sensor's, go to any auto parts or autozone where they will do a free code reading, then get back with us here at FixYa, with your trouble code number, so we can help you diag. your trouble code.
Code 23 is the knock sensor, but this does not mean the sensor is faulty, could be picking up a knocking in your engine.Check oil level and oil pressure.Check wiring to the ecu from the sensor.

P0601 OBD-II Trouble Code Technical Description
Internal Control Module Memory Check Sum Error What does that mean?
Basically that means that there is an interal fault in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). There have been many reported PCM failures on Chrysler/Dodge products although it is possible for this to happen on any vehicle. In Dodge/Chrysler products, a P0601 trouble code means that a serial communication failed inside the computer at least 6 times. http://www.obd-codes.com/p0601
Code 11 means no rpm reference at pcm(engine computer) you probably need to change the pick up coil, located under the distributor cap. Won't promise that will do it but thats what the code means. Hope this helps.
Take it to a parts store, they will check for engine trouble codes for free. They plug a hand held scan tool into the cars computer port under the dash, it reads stored codes on the cars computer. Write them down, ask what they mean, and how to fix the problem. This should solve your 'sputters and no pick up' problem. U can return here to post any questions u may have, include any engine codes.
