Do you mean a vehicle 3 point lift? If so, are you qualified to repair such a thing? Its safety critical such that only lift engineers should do it. You don't want to be wearing a car as a hat?

Changing the air filter on a 1990 buick park avenue

That should be real easy. The top of the air filter case will have metal clips around it -about 3, maybe 4. You lift up on the clips and the top of the case comes free. Lift out the old filter and install your new one in same exact position. It should fit snugly.

How to change your oil

umm if you have to ask you probably shouldn't try it yourself. But If you have everything needed to change your oil and are willing and able then here's what you do....
First: you will need and oil pan, funnel, wrench that fits your oil plug, new oil filter and possibly something to help remove your old oil filter, car jack stands/jack to lift your car.
Second: lift your car up enough to get under it using the jack, place oil pan under car's oil plug.
Next: remove oil plug let oil drain.
Next: remove oil filter
Next: once drained put new filter on and reinstall the oil plug.
Next: fill with the correct amount or quarts of oil for your vehicle, should say in user's manual. lower the jack and should be good to go.

96 T100 (3.4), will only run for 2-3 seconds then quit, change fuel filter, pump, cam sensor and crank sensor still won't run, but will run on ether. Where to go next?

What you are telling me is the engine is firing the plugs but not getting fuel.
When you changed the fuel pump and filter, did you check the fuel pressure at the rail ?
Are the injectors getting power and ground pulse ??

How do i find and replace the oil filter

you drive by several quick oil change places every day. stop at one of them and have them change your oil and filter. while they are doing it, ask them to show you the filter, then you will know next time.
while you are there, reflect on what a hassle it will be to get to it without having a lift at your disposal.

Engine lights permanently on.

Go to your local auto parts store. They will read the code - for free (but they are not allowed to clear the code) and determine what is wrong. Once repaired, you can have the code reread and they should allow you to clear it.
