Sounds like the door latch mechanism is stuck in the closed position. if you pull on the door handle and use something like a screw driver and pull the latch claws open the door should work. the latch is the part that closes around the door striker plate bolt to keep the door closed. lube the latch to help keep it from sticking again.

SOURCE: Driver's side door power locks are stuck; door stuck shut.

sounds like the rods are disconnected the clips hold the rods in place the latching mechanism holds the handle in place as well did you replace the speakers or did a shop? if a shop did then they caused this if you did then you may have caused this either way untill you reattach the rods none of it will work. you will have to manually open the door at the latch from inside teh door behind the panel.

SOURCE: My 2004 Freestar rear door is stuck in the closed

there is a rod that connects the solenoid to the lock assy. from inside the van you can move it with your hand or pliers and then open the hatch. you will need to clean up the lock because ther will be corrosion and then use a white grease to lube the whole thing. operate by hand a few times before you close it up. there is an access port by the lock inside the door so you dont need to take the whole panel off.

My 1997 rav 4 back swing door is stuck shut. it used to be stuck unlocked so i was curious and took panel off and manualy flipped the door into the lock postion and then shut the door....

If you did not put the panel back on then it is easy to unlatch if the window glass is not in the way.. IF the panel is back on and the door is closed and locked, you need to get a wedge and roll the window down and use a slim jim type tools to unlatch it.

Drivers side door closed and will not open.

Remove inner door latch and try operating the rod manually (vice grips). If locked, spray everything inside the door with WD-40 or the like and try operating the lock.

I have mazda 3 and 2008 model of it the child lock is on i cant unlock it .

Check on the passenger door for a switch. If you have a four door check the rear passenger door It should be on the inside edge of the door or on the panel by the handle and door lock switch. It could also be on the drivers side door. Rich

Check the latch itself (on the door) is in the open position, ans didn't accidentally flip to the closed position. This has to be open so it can fit over the stud in the door jamb, where it flips over the stud to latch the door.
If so, while holding door handle (as if you were trying to open/unlatch door), flip latch open, with a finger or a screwdriver.

Mazda 3 2010 driver's door locked and won't open

This is what fixed the my car's driver's door that was stuck closed and locked: the plastic piece that function as the manual lock/unlock on the inside of the door (it's black but when the door's unlocked it has a red side facing out) had essentially popped out and everything was jammed. So you push the button back in while you flip the inside handle open. But maybe I was lucky, in that it was only the button that was jammed.

Driver side door doesn't lock or unlock with the remote. The rest of the doors work fine.

Does the Driver side door lock and unlock from the lock switch inside? If not then you have a bad motor or bad connection to the lock/unlock motor inside the door.

Cant get back door to stay closed . The lock is stuck in locked position I think and the door is open. When I go to close it, it is'nt staying closed. Had to duck tape it to stay closed. LOL! I keep...

It sounds to me ( correct me if I'm wrong ) like the door latch on the side vertical edge of the door is in the LOCKED POSITION. In order to unlock it perform the following. First electrically with the LOCK button UNLOCK the locks. Now with one hand hold the OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE IN THE OPEN POSITION, while at the same time FLIPPING OPEN THE LATCH. All Done . Now you can close the door. Hope this helps
