Code p1762 is the governor pressure offset volts too high or too low. This is a transmission solenoid that probably needs replaced. I believe that you have to take the pan off to get at it.
P1762 Nissan - Direct Clutch Solenoid Valve
Possible causes
- Faulty Direct Clutch Solenoid Valve
- Direct Clutch Solenoid Valve harness is open or shorted
- Direct Clutch Solenoid Valve circuit poor electrical connection
P1762 Nissan Description
Direct clutch solenoid valve is controlled by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent from the PNP switch, vehicle speed sensor and accelerator pedal position sensor (throttle position sensor). Gears will then be shifted to the optimum position.
If your fluid level is good. I would then order correct governor pressure sensor, transmission shift solenoid also. Including new filter and pan gasket and atf +4 and install the new parts.
P1757 - Governor Pressure Above 3 PSI When Request Is 0 PSI
P1762 - Governor Pressure Sensor Offset Improper Voltage
Both codes are refered at the governor pressure sensor; I am 99% certain that is bad. Just replace it. Check the voltage on the Light Green/White wire at pin 29 in the white
PCM connector with key ON, engine OFF (KOEO). It should be about 0.5-0.7
volts.
If higher than 0.8 volts, check the Transmission Temperature
sensor reading on a scan tool. If the Transmission Temperature sensor
reads normal, the sensor ground is OK. If the sensor ground is OK, then replace the Governor Pressure sensor.
P1762 - Governor Press Sensor Offset Volts too LOW or too High
Circuit is monitored continuously while ignition is on and engine is running. DTC sets if the governor pressure is out of range in Park or Neutral for 1.3 seconds. The test must fail 3 times to set DTC.
The following items may be the area of concern:
Solenoid pack connector 5-volt supply circuit open or shorted to ground.
I had the same problrm a couple weeks ago I ended up replacing the governor pressure sensor and the solenoid it is very easy you just drop the pan and it is right there. Here is a website that shows you how to do it http://forums.minnesotamud.com/showthread.php?p=48356
Looks like the fautl code refers to the stuck solenoid on the shift control valve which is in the valve body.
It is a job that requires lots of precision and probably if you take the valve body out you'll need a plan to reassemble it...I would suggest getting it to a specialist.
Cheers
CEL Code P1762 is Governor Pressure Sensor Offset Improper Voltage. Make sure all your wires going to the sensor are ok, then if they are I would look into a new Sensor. Hope this gives you some direction. Thanks for Using FixYa!
