You have a defective started solenoid on starter, the large battery contacts are eroded from arching and at times they don't make a connection to power up the starter motor and so the starter solenoid will just clicks This problem is common to all Nippon Denso designed type starters used in ALL modern cars and lite trucks.

Check for alternator faults--loose wire and fittings. Check for loose /dirty battery terminals

Not familiar with the vehicle however, if the "d" in "dti" stands for diesel, id check the large fuel filter; usually under the hood (bonnet). Possibly only needs the air bled out -especially if the filter has been changed recently.
