SOURCE: air conditioner leaks (drains)into the front passenger seat floor mat
I had the same problem. Drilled a hole in the round plastic extension beneath the glove box, behind the carpet. Now run a coat hanger through it, followed by alot of compressed air. It may take several times, debri from above may be continuosly replugging drain. when you are done, clean thoroughly, and patch with hot melt glue. Good luck.
SOURCE: leak onto floor passenger side from neck of ac drain through firewall
It's not your heater core. If your heater core is out it would leak antifreeze. My wife's 97 Grand Cherokee had the same problem. It is condensation from your AC coming leaking through a round hole in the AC unit at the firewall. Pull the carpet back and dry out underneath it, there will be a lot of water and we had to leave the carpet pulled back with a fan blowing on it all weekend to dry out. I fixed this about 8 years ago so if I remember correctly, the was a plastic part of the AC at the firewall that had a hole in it that the water was coming out of, I could see leaves and debris in the hole so I know it was part of the drain system. I cleaned out what debris I could and used a cone shaped peice of rubber and twisted it in to plug the hole and tapped over the plug to ensure that it wouldn't back out with vibrations, etc. After you dry everything off start the engine and turn the AC on max, you'll be able to see the where the water is leaking from after the AC gets cold. Hope this helps, it drove us nuts for a year before we figured it out and the wet carpet smell wasn't pleasant.

drain tube located in engine bay, when looking into engine bay drain tube is just above right hand side chassis leg on bulkhead, repair for problem is locate lower casing inside passenger footwell then drill a hole in the centre of the lowest point then poke through with metal coat hanger, note when you drill water will drain in to vehicle collect and throw out then once you clear drain tube plug up hole, hole size required 5mm, lowest point round shape, good luck
SOURCE: location of ac drain to try and stop wet floor board on 98 tj?
The problem is with the evaporator drain. There is a, (usually soft flexable), tube that drains condensation from the evaporator to the outside. It is located in the passenger compartment, under the dash. The hose has, (A)-became disconnected from the evaporator. (B)- Has gotten a kink in it. (C)-Became clogged, causing the evaporator to overflow into your passenger floorboard. Your vehicle probably has some covers over these components, you will likely have to remove. Locate the hose, it typically drains just behind and inside your right front wheel. It may be concealed behind a kick panel, or may go thru the floor or firewall. You must find it and follow it to the evaporator and make sure it is not clogged or kinked and is properly connected to the evaporator.
