There are several that would cause this. Your mechanic has the tester you need to read the codes for the bad ones. He has to plug it into a line that goes to your car computer.
My error code is 12 21 55. I believe the 21 was the o2 sensor which I related but now the car is still stallinn and turning off right after it turns over.

All that means is that you have loss power to the computer. Disconnected the battery.
This code will clear in 50 key cycles of the ignition key.

I can't seem to find code 12 but code 37 says it has to do with the Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit- Says there is probably a open or a short in the torque converter Clutch (TCC) in the solenoid circuit.
Code 64 Is stating that it has to do with the Flex Fuel Sensor reading high. The condition has to do with the Methanol Concentration sensor input is reading more than the maximum voltage that is acceptable.
