the fuse box lid normally has a diagram on it there is a fuse box under the dash on the driver side and there is one under the hood as well.and if it does not have a diagram stop by the dealer in the parts department and they can print you one if you have an owner manual there is one in there also.

Tail lights and dash lights to 1999 Mazda Protege will not turn on

Sounds like a blown fuse to me. Check your fuse boxes, usually located in the engine compartment, as well as near the driver side of your dashboard, usually near your hood release, or possibly on the passenger side of the dashboard or in the glovebox. Remove the cover for each fuse box and read the diagram on the inside of the cover to find where the fuses are located for each item.

Replaced battery in 1997 mazda protege DX. dash lights come on, but engine will not turn. small red light on left side of dash is on now, it was not prior to the battery swap. we bought this car used,...

First make sure your battery cables a secured tightly, then look under your dash on driver side for a little black or red button if not there then by your fuse block for a little hide away toggle, you can also unhook ground for 5 min then re-hook and hit the brake rapidly for 5 sec resets your ECU

My dash lights are all out. Where do I start to look?

I would start looking by checking the dash light control switch to see if it is turned all the way down. If not, then I would check other components like dome and tail lamps to see if anything else is not working. This will give me some idea of where the problem may be. It could be that the dash light control switch is bad or it could be another seemingly unrelated electrical component shorting out your dash lights. If your exterior running lights (tail lights) are working, the problem is not the fuse. You may even have all the bulbs burned out. (although it is highly unlikely that they would all burn out at the same time.)

How to replace a fuse on 2002 Mazda Protege 5?

It's not a fuse, your park lamps/tail lamps front and rear all get voltage from the same source. In the diagram, top wire is voltage bottom wire is ground. May be a problem with wiring circuit, either voltage or ground. Did you try pushing on the bulb to see if it would lite up, if it does, something wrong with bulb socket.

1997 Mazda protege lx. turn signals stop working when headlamps are turned on, right indicator stays solid on dash cluster?

most of the time problems with lights are directly linked to fuses. locate your fuses and check for burned out ones.
