My 2003 toyota corolla S with auto transmission has 104k on it. Recently the check engine light came on. On diagnosis at autozone it says P0770 code - transmission lock-up solenoid. Please help!! What is the issue and how much will it cost for repair?

Take your vehicle to a Toyota dealership. Ask them to replace your ECU per TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) TC015-07. The new ECU has redesigned logic that rectifys your condition.

Some 2005 - 2007 model year Corolla and Matrix vehicles equipped with
an automatic transaxle may exhibit a harsh shift condition and a M.l.L.
ON" with DTC P2716 stored.
Improvements have been made to the Engine Control Module (ECM) (SAE term:
Powertrain Control Module/PCM) to reduce the possibility of this condition occurring.
