This is a known condition. And, is under warranty.

Take your vehicle to a Toyota dealership. Ask them to replace your ECU per TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) TC015-07. The new ECU has redesigned logic that rectifys your condition.

P0770 CEL. What is the issue and how much will it cost for repair?

Toyota has a tech service bulletin on this issue But this is how the system works the car electrical system applies 12 volts to solenoid and the computer supplies the ground to operate the shift solenoid. once the command has been sent and the computer see no change in the input speed verses output speed it sets the po770 several things can cause this problem from bad torque converter to sticky valve body control valves and wiring issues. This can be diagnosed with a enhanced scanner without taking anything apart.

Toyota code p1750

Code P1750 on your Toyota denotes a problem in the Hydraulic Control System of A/T Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid due to a brake ECU malfunction. The signal is sent to the ECCM by the brake actuator assembly, aka skid control ECU for three seconds to display the code.

97 camry has no check engine light on but 3rd gear delays scaner said p0770 comes ons a selenoid what do you advaise to do

p0770 is shift solinoid E malfunction, If flushing the transmission fluid will not help. you have a problem with the shift solenoid itself or the wiring to it. Solenoid E (SL) is the torque converter lock-up solenoid. If the torque converter is a little slow locking up, it will set this code. May only be a one-time thing, allowing to get a small particle of something getting jammed in the solenoid. The code may disappear by itself.
any trans shop should be willing to solve this problem for you WITHOUT a rebuild. good-day!

I have P0770 code on my 2003 Toyota Matrix 2WD L4-1.8L (1ZZ-FE) auto XR with ABS. I have couple more questions. I was replaced a ECM already and the P0770 come out after 1 days. I have the R&R Speed...

First I would try resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. This will remove the code. Then see if it comes back. Mind you you will not pass inspection, because the ECU will need to monitor a certain amount of driving "cycles" before inspection will accept the findings. Before that, replace your O2 sensors, and get those out of the way. P0770 is a Shift Solenoid E Malfunction. You will have to look at a manual to find out which Shift Solenoid that "E" refers to and where it is located. TC lockup, refers to the TC lockup solenoid. If so I would try replacing that and going from there. The auto transmission is a pretty complicated beast, and even the most experienced DIY'ers would go past the normal maintenance. HOWEVER, changing solenoids is considered, at least to me, DIY maintenance. Whats is your RPM when cruising at say 60 mph. If its more than 2400 rpms, then i would say it is your lockup solenoid. hope this helps

My 1996 Toyota T100 4x4 has a p0770 error showing transmission solenoi problem. It operates normally without any symtom. What seems to be the cause?

P0770 is for the lock up converter system. The computer does not see the converter lock up when the signal commands it to. This can be anything from a bad solenoid in the trans to the converter itself or the relay valve in the valve body sticking. Extensive testing needs to be done. this will not affect or hurt anything to drive is $$ is tight. The only thing is that the light will remain on and your gas mileage may drop some during highway driving. With the way you described your problem im sure that you have no worries and it is just the solenoid.

Approximately how much should I have to pay for replacement of pressure control solenoid on a 2006 Toyota Corolla (74,000 mi.). I am soooo hot about this issue. This auto has been taken care of &...

It was a computer that malfunctioned causing me to get an incorrect code. The computer was evidently giving the transmission incorrect messages, causing the appearance of a transmission problem. There is a service bulletin on this item. Toyota covers it up to 80,000 miles. My car was repaired at no expense to me. Yeahhhhh Toyota!

I went to Auto Zone & have a computer code of p0770-Shift selinoid E malfunction...What is it? & how do I fix it? How much does it usually cost?

Shift solenoids control your transmission shifting. More than likely you will need to replace that solenoid, which is located in the transmission valve body. I would guess its about a $300 repair depending on the price of the solenoid.
