SOURCE: how to remove the oil pan on a 2004 dodge ram 2500 diesel

I'd recommend getting a service manual first. I got one for my 2005 2500 cummins from www.promanuals.net. I also had to to remove the oil pan and replace it with another one.

SOURCE: oil pump replacement

If the pan is not broken free all the way around, you will need to make sure it is. Then the oil pump pick up tube is going to mess with you, and you may have to turn the crank manually to get the crank journal out of your way. Drop the pan down and forward only -Ned_

SOURCE: check engine codes for 1991 Dodge Spirit LE

Turn key to on, then off, then on, then off, then on & leave it on, (not start, just to on) then count the number of flashes of check engine light. It will flash, then have a small pause, then flash again. It will be a 2 digit number, for example: 2 flashes, pause, 2 more flashes, will be code 22. 3 flashes, pause, then 5 more flashes would be code 35. When you get 5 flashes, pause, then 5 more, That is code 55 which just means end of message. Get back to us with codes & we'll advise of what to look for.

SOURCE: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO REPAIR A IGNITION SWITCH

Flat rates can vary from $70 an flat rate hr. to $125 per flat rate hour depending on the state that you live in; however, a flat rate hr is the time that is allowed for the repair. That job should be rated at about 1 1/2 hr +/- an hr. to complete plus the cost of the part. Whatever the flat rate would cost...no matter if the mechanic takes 5 hrs, the cost should not exceed whatever the flat rate has been estimated to be, so get the estimate first before having the work done.

How can I change my 3.0 Liter oil pan gasket

Hi, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.

I actually own a 1995 Dodge Spirit 3.0 and its not to difficult. The hardest part is removing the bracket on the transmission so you can remove the dust cover for the flywheel. (1) Drain the oil. (2) Remove the transmission bracket and the dust cover. (3) Remover all the pan bolts except one, just loosen this one so you can pry the pan off, because the pan will be stuck on. (4) Clean the engine block and the oil pan very clean. (5) Install the gasket OR sealer which ever it calls for and install the pan and fill with new oil and filter. Hope this helps and please visit my Auto-Repair-Website: http://www.bigasautorepair.com/

Can you show me the flow of the oil in a 1991 dodge spirit?

If I undersatng your question, the oil is picked up by the oil pick up under the oil pump inside the oil pan, then t goes inside the engine block casting, that has several lubrication galleries running paralell to the crankshaft and the camshaft. the head has some oil passages to let the oil drain to the pan, and tha completes the flow.

Having trouble removing the oil pan

Remove the motor mount bolts & jack the engine up enough to give you the clearance you need to remove the oil pan. Support the engine with wooden blocks at the mount sites. Good Luck!

How do you adjust the transmission bands in a 1991 dodge spirit 2.5 turbo with an automatic transmission?

The only one you can adjust is the low reverse band & it is accessed by removing the transmisson pan. You will need a feeler gauge & a wrench to adjust it. You can get the proper adjustment data from Chilton or Haynes manuals. Good luck!

We are trying to locate the oil pump on our 1991 Dodge Caravan - 3.3 V6. Indicators seem to show that it has gone bad.

Hello
Sorry did not see the engine info before
You need to remove the oil pan to get to the oil pump
once pan is off you will see a tube with a screen that's the oil pump pick up tube, the pump is on the end of the tube.
