All we here is a click ( not the usual multiple clicks that tells you it's a battery problem) when we turn the key to start up. When we turn the key, nothing happens.

On the firewall is the starter motor relay. There are 2 large battery sized cables to it, and 1 smaller ( 16 AWG ) wire that is orange or orange with a stripe ( forget the color, want to say white or tan ).
When you turn the key to the start position, check the smaller gauge wire for +12 V. The case should be ground. If you do not get +12 on the orange wire, try starting the truck in neutral ( apply the parking brake, chock the wheel, etc normal safety precautions ). Test for +12 V at the small wire. This is the output of the DTR ( Digital Transmission Range ) sensor or in common terms the Neutral switch. The start position on the ign switch runs through the DTR to the starter motor relay coil.
If you have a stick, the DTR is replaced by the Clutch Pedal Position Switch ( clutch must be pushed in to start ).
If you have power to this ( at the times the truck won't start ) next is to check the both battery cable ends to see if they are corroded and making intermittent contact ( not probable but possible ).

If your solenoid is in the engine compartment, you can try to jump the two posts with a screwdriver or other metal tool. just touch both posts at the same time. If the engine turns, then your solenoid is bad. If it doesn't turn then your starter is either bad or the connections at the starter are dirty.
I am having a simular problem. I started out getting tire pressure light, brake light, and door adjar coming on when I was driving. It would stay on for a few min and go off. I wasnt getting any codes when it was coming on. Then I started having problems starting my 2007 Ford Expedition with 87,000. I would turn the key and my power seats would not move and I wouldnt get any lights. The only thing that would come on was the radio. When I turned the key I didnt hear anything. I can wait about 5 min and it will start. I have had it at the Ford dealer for about a month and they still dont know what the problem is. I have paid about 900 so far and the only thing they have done is change out the junction box and I still have the same problem. Please help!!
