When my Prado 120 not start and shown key light on dashboard what's problem?.

Possibly a security issue. May have to be reset. I personally don't know how to reset that but from working with cars several years, that's the first thing that pops in mind. If you have keyless entry remote, try locking doors and then unlock them with remote then give it a shot to start. Hope this helps get you going. Jesus loves you, John 3:16-17 (KJV)

The back door of my Prado does not want to open even if I open the car with the remote or the unlock button on the rear door handle?

you should be able to unlock your driverside door with a key.....you might have to fumble and your alarm might go off....if you can't open the door you can open the hood (where the battery sits) with a cable which hangs on the left (if you stand in front of the P) behind the bumper cover (that is where mine is)

Hello Tony,
the battery inside the key is only for remote door locking-unlocking...

The immobilizer transponder in the key is self powered...
If the immobilizer is not recognized by the car ECU you should have the key symbol lamp in you dashboard stay ON.

Hope this helps...

Lost remote and like to program new remote. HELP. 2000 prado vx.

1. Start with the following conditions: you are in the vehicle a. Key is out of the ignition
b. Drive door is open ( all other doors are closed)
c. Driver door is unlocked (other door locks don't matter)

2. Insert the key into the ignition (don't turn it) and pull it out.
3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds: a. Cycle the power locks 5 times. Use an even pace and try
to go relatively fast.
b. Close, then open the drivers door.
4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds: a. Cycle the power locks 5 times (same as before).
b. Turn the ignition to ON then back to OFF.
c. Turn the ignition to ON then back to OFF.
d. Remove the key from the ignition.

5. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should cycle (automatically)
indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to step 1
if the locks do not cycle at this point.

6. Perform these steps within 40 seconds: a. Press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter
simultaneously for 1 second.
b. Immediately after letting go of the lock and unlock buttons,
press the lock button by itself and hold for 2 seconds.
Within 3 seconds, the door locks should cycle ( LOCK then
UNLOCK) once-- indicating successful programming. If
the door locks don't cycle, or cycle twice. Repeat steps
6a and 6b--this remote has not been accepted.
c. Repeat steps 6a and 6b for EACH transmitter that will
operate the vehicle. Including any old transmitters.

7. Close the driver door.
Good luck and hope this helps.

How come on a 2002 GMC Denali if you lock your key inside

i would say the theft module saw the door trying to be open without the door lock or fob first, once the door lock button was pushed it shut down, it new doors were trying to be unlocked in a theft manner, once shut down it needs time to reset or needs to see ignition cycle with key and read chip in key, smart system isnt it, good luck.

Car will not unlock.

To get inside the car .... Use the key in the lock cylinder, unlock the drivers door to get inside. You shouldn't have to reprogram the fob unless it or the keyless module was changed. There may be a blown fuse that supplies the keyless control module (check the owners manual for location). or wires that lead into the Drivers door may be damaged ... The keyless module is located inside the drivers door at the bottom behind the door panel ... do the unlock/lock and trunk release switches on the inside of the drivers door operate the locks and or trunk release? If so it is not the fuse ... and not the wires to it ... And it could be your BCM body control module, located in the dash board to right of your gas petal. Because the number entry keypad (code for that is on the inside of the right passenger trunk bracket arm) also doesn't work I assume it's not the key fobs themselves. Your 98 manual is correct for your car.
