Where is the transmission dip stick on a 2005 chevy colorado
SOURCE: transmission fluid level?
There is a 11mm plug on the passenger side of the trans near the axle shaft. Remove that with the car level, trans hot, and engine idling. Fluid should just come out of there when its full.

Sounds like water getting in one of the connectors. You will need to see what fault code is in there when the light comes on, then look at that sensor.
SOURCE: chevy colorado loss of power
take it to local parts store that scans for codes for free, you will get a print out with any codes that are set and go from there

The dipstick is on the very front, near the front pan. There is a bolt, and after that the dipstick can be pulled up.
