I just baught a 1984 caddilac coupe deville that has 64,000 miles. It has been sitting for seven years . I go to start it and it turns and everything but it only stays on for like 5 seconds. What coould be the problem?

If you are sure that it is getting fuel,,,try taking a hair dryer, turn it onto high heat setting and just prior to cranking the motor and during(will take two people) force the hot air into your Air cleaner intake.
Usually getting the motor good and warm with any means you can think of will solve the starting problem.
But since it has been sitting for several years,this may be just the beginning of your adventures.

Its on passenger side under rear seat cushion. Get in back seat FACING rear seatback, grab under lip of bottom seat cushion, and pull straight up. Disconnect seat heater connector (if so equipped) on passenger side and remove seat bottom. Tada! There ya go! Oh... btw. Its a $150 battery due to the venting system designed into it to vent fumes through a tube to the outside world. Thanks Cadillac!!! :(

the low oil pressure light can be a faulty oil pressure sensor.But mostly its the pump itself. open the oil pan and check if the net is chocked if not then replace the oil pump and do install the new o ring supplied with the pump. And try changing the oil on time and a good brand is important. (if the problem still exists then u need to replace the crank barring and the cam bushings..Just kidding).
