if its like most nissan s you have to remove the glovebox and the fuse box is behind it, the main box can also be located beside your battery, if both tail light blow it will, blow a fuse, so check your lights regular to save you the hassle of looking for fuses.

Why isnt my tail lights or dash light not working but headlights and break lights are working on my 1998 Nissan altima?

Hi, the basic elec. Design. Of auto lighting circuits is based on this concept. Dash lights and tail lights use the same feed, For example, if a dash light. Was shorted, you will lose dash and tail lights, Assuming. your stereo has the factory system, this is where. I would start. First chk your fuses, if they are ok, your. issue. may be your dash dimmer,, or worse cas, your muttifunction switch may be def.

My break wont push in so i can start my car

I would be checking the battery and having a load test done on it to check for a dead cell.Clean the battery terminals to shiny clean and make sure they are tight.. That may fix the dash lights problem first. The brake action will be stiff unless you get assistance from the booster which you will not have unless the engine is running

I have a 1992 Altima that has break lights that won't turn off unless I disconnect the battery. Do you think that this is a ground wire?

No check your brake light switch, could need adjusting, follow brake paddle up under dash, switch will hook up to it.Adjust it in or out, till switch hit brake paddle arm, the button on the switch is push in, brake light will be off, till you apply brakes then it will come on.

My 20074 Nissan Altima 3.5 will not start. The dash lights and fan will come on but it will not start.

I had the same problem with my 2007 altima I took it to the dealership and they said it was the switch in the break. They said that when the witch goes out it does not recognize that you are pressing the brake pedal down so the engine will not start. My extended just ran out so I had to pay $130 to get it fixed.

2007 altima won't start

Thanks to this forum I just fixed my 07 Altima - Every time I pressed the start button the starter did not turn. I knew it wasn't the battery because if the battery was bad the solenoid clicks when you press the start button.

It turned out one of the two brake switches (the one with the four wires) was causing the problem. I removed the connector and pulled off the back of the switch. I was able to see one of the contacts was corroded. I sanded it down with an emory board till both surfaces were shiny again and reassembled the switch. Works like a charm!!
