It has to do with Fuel Trim and O2 sensor readings, based on whether the vehicle is under load, running rich or lean, and what state the PCM is in for correction.

I tried to paste the full answer, but Fixya's systems will not allow it (it is quite lengthy).

The short answer: O2 sensor and/or MAF sensor.

po300 is random miss fire doubtful two O2 sensors bad at one time most likely coolant temp sensor is bad causing engine to run rich this will cause O2 sensors to throw a code(thats what they are there for..exhaust gas temp. and raw fuel) running rich will also fowl spark plugs(=miss fire) P1128 ??

That P code p1128 is for a fault with one of the lambda probes on that vehicle, you really need to see which one is not oprating 1st, and make sure wiring is ok to that sensor 1st before just going to buy a new lambda probe

I get codes P0102 and P1128. My mechanic says I need to put a new mass air flow sensor on and it will take care of the problem. Is this correct?
This could very well be correct I believe code P0102 is the mass airflow circuit low input. P1128 should be a lean code.

I would first try cleaning your mass airflow sensor with a carb or throttle body cleaner, they have a tendency to get dirty and not read correctly.

I looked on alldata, and my Chrysler site, and there is no P1128 code listed. Are you sure the code is correct? What motor is in it? I looked for the code online for generic reasons, and it says it is for upstream heated O2 sensors swapped. Never heard of this code ever in 14 years of service work.

What does code number P1128 mean when light is on
P1128 - Long Term Fuel Trim Multiplicative System Too Lean.
The ECM will set a code and the MIL will turn on if the long-term fuel trim value goes from 10% to 15% lean for 30 seconds during two driving cycles when the following conditions are met:
1.- Engine loads exceeds 1.8 milliseconds.
2.- Engine coolant temp. is above 158F (70C).
3.- Canister purge system is not operating.
4.- Mass air flow is less than or equal to 5.5grams per second.
5.- Engine speed is below 1000RPM.
