Iam an ASE Certified mechanic and i had the same problem with my 99
century and i wasnt able to drive at night. After hours of testing
wires we came to the problem. Its the turn signal switch assembly which
is tied into the hazard switch on top of the steering column. Its all
one piece with a 3 foot long wiring harness attached to it running down
the bottom of the steering column and going underneath the dash. The
least expensive place i found the part and had it in stock was my local
Auto Zone and still the part was $200.00.
P.S. This is a common problem on these GM cars. Mine did the same thing to the tee! The lights will go on and off then they just went off for good and this solved the problem. I guarantee it. If you have any questions please email me i will do all i can to help.

Go through all your fuses, Dim lights run on a separate fuse.

To change the low beam headlight on the 2001 Lesabre, the headlight assembly must first be removed from the car. It is really quite simple to do. There are two bolts on the top of the assembly that must be removed - that is all! The entire assembly comes out and gives easy access to the low beam bulb. Give it a 1/4 counterclockwise turn to remove it. Plus in the new one (#9006) and reverse the procedure.

With tilt wheel this is a common issue as the tilt wheel is used quite often the wires inside the the steering coll-um begin to wear crack and break the lights and ignition wires all run the same way the issue lyes within the turn hazard lever and either repair it with the use of a test light wire by wire or simply replace the entire lever i had the same issue many many times on most tilt wheel vehicles the replacement part can either be obtained new which will cost you quite a bit or the used one from a salvage yard is less costly ...i also found Monster.com will sell you after market new for far less
-It burn out. Replace new one.
