If the Check Engine light is "still" on it is because your engine control system "still" has a problem. These things do not go away by themselves. One must scan the Engine Control Module (ECM) for fault codes that will tell you which of the many
SYSTEMS monitored by the computer is failing. Once the malfunctioning
SYSTEM has been identified by the fault codes retrieved from the
ECM, then the system must be properly diagnosed to determine the actual
CAUSE of the failure. Only after the cause of the failure has been determined can the system be repaired so that the check engine light will stay off.
Plese note that fault codes only identify malfunctioning systems - they
NEVER tell you what parts to replace.
