Idles great at times and then may idle a little rought at stop lights 2.8 50000 miles
You changed the spark plugs twice since 2006?
Every three years-- I do mine
Ignition Coils won't last 8 years, not all of them
You have to look at scan tool data & road test
Can not use a car for years & never work on it
Your dealing with time in years & heat cycles
Nothing at all to do with mileage
Usually 100,000 miles you change oxygen sensors
Yours are 9 years old,so they go based on time & again
scope them, for switching times & look at the data
Don't change your oil 3 times a year, you have engine wear
Could be any number of things causing your cars issues
SOURCE: car engine will not idle engine idles at 3500
Sounds like a defective IDLE AIR CONTROL valve, but before you can confirm you need to proof it out and also look the engine over for vacuum leaks and/or wiring problems. Also find out if you have an engine light and any stored code/s.
SOURCE: I have 55,688 miles on
The oil pump could be bad, or going bad. Oil pressure is effected by wear on the crankshaft main bearings and camshaft/s bearings. If those bearings are bad, that would make it lose oil pressure, but I wouldn't think it's time for a new motor at that mileage!!! I would find out what the actual oil pressure is, using a "wet gauge" or oil pressure gauge. The oil pressure sending could also be bad, giving false readings.

I was just wondering what happened with your engine??? Because mine is doing the same exact thing, and i am kinda scared.
thank you, email me if u get this at

SOURCE: engine idles up, down and low while under 1000 rpm
It is the ISC motor, (Idle Speed Control) it costs around $30.00 and can be found at most automotive stores. If standing in front of car looking at engine, it is located near the front towards the left. Your throttle cable is connected to it. There are four small screws that hold it to a bracket, pay attention to the rod with a small dial type wheel sticking out the end and you will see it go in and out of that motor casing. Your's is sticking. replace that and you should be good to go.
It can be issue
with IAC( idle air control valve) causing the problem.
There
are many other possibilities causing these idle issues. Engine idles rough.
There
are few help links with solutions to troubleshoot such idle issues.
