1993 Toyota Camry. Auto Tran. 4 cyl. No kick down at speed
1993 Toyota Camry. Automatic Tran. 4 cyl. The engine will not kick down to a lower gear when driving above 20 mph and I push the accelerator to the floor. It works when starting from stop but once I get going it will not kick down.

changing your VSS is easy , the hardest part is finding it...look around the housing near your CV axles..the differential in there near there is a 8 or 10mm bolt holding it in witha wire connector on the end...if you pull it out you will see a plastic gear on the end of the sensor.... YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
