SOURCE: What do these diagnostic codes(PO106,PO121) mean

OBD II Fault Code

  • OBD II P0106
Fault Code Definition
The Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor/Barometric Pressure Sensor measures the rise and fall of the air pressure inside the Intake Manifold. This provides critical data needed for the Power Train Control Module (PCM) to control the Air Fuel Ratio, the Ignition Spark Timing, and many components of the Emissions Control Systems. The Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Sensor P0106 code is set when there is a problematic or erratic performance in the voltage signal to the PCM.
Symptoms
  • Check Engine Light will illuminate
  • In many cases, no abnormal symptoms may be noticed
  • In some cases, the engine may be hard starting and/or get poor fuel economy
  • In some cases, noticeably poor engine performance may occur
Common Problems That Trigger the P0106 Code
  • Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor/Barometric Pressure Sensor is defective
  • Intake Manifold vacuum leaks
  • Faulty or corroded Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor/Barometric Pressure wiring or connections
Common Misdiagnoses
  • Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor/Barometric Pressure Sensor is replaced when the real cause is an Intake Manifold vacuum leak
  • Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor/Barometric Pressure Sensor is replaced when the real cause is a stuck-open EGR Valve
  • Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor/Barometric Pressure Sensor is replaced when the real problem is a defective Idle Air Control Motor, which causes a very low engine idle

SOURCE: need list of fault codes

Not a solution: This is my problem...
I needed to get my car smogged, but the check engine light was on. Took to to a local smog station that had replaced a sensor for me in the past in order to pass smog. They could not fix it. Put car in dealership garage for repairs and to date, the transmission module sensor (computer) went out and the ignition sensor was out also. The mechanic replaced both and now the code P1702 comes up. What does that code mean? My car still won't pass smog....

Head bolts setting for megane 2.0 l 16v. Ide f5r engine anybody please. In neuton metre not angle please. But angle will do. Please

you could possibly get the tensions by going google and typing in--- head tension s for renault megane 2.0 l engine
torque settings in ft/lbs or newton meters is a by gone thing as the better method of stretching the bolts is to do it by angles
by using a torque wrench the bolt stretch ( tension) has variables like bolt thread finish, thread lubrication, bolts bottoming out from gunk/oil in the hole , uncalibrated tension wrenches , all of which means that not all head studs are pulled down to the correct stretch
By using angles , the head tension becomes uniform

daewoo lanos 1.6L dohc head torque is as follows , step 1 = 18 ft. lbs. , step 2 = 70 degrees , step 3 = 70 degrees , step 4 = 30 degrees . sequence is as pictured .
This should get you done -start with the middle head bolt and work your way out in a circle. Doing each one at step 1 - then the next bolt step 1 - then the next one step 1 - then go around again with step 2 - then around step 3 - 4 etc.
