Not too bad,you have to remove fan,to get the water pump mounting bolts.take off the belt, remove the pump. Some people remove the radiator for more room ,this no big deal, just remove the top 2 bolts, remove upper, lower hoses, pull the fan cover off.You don't put RTV on gasket, also there's an small o ring that has to be replace, behind the pump.

Waterpump leaking

NO the leak is a clear indication that the water pump seal or the rubber bellows has failed and any stop seal will be moved out of the way by the action of the spinning shaft. Replacing the pump is the fix required.

Antifreeze leaks from waterpump after driving

Sounds to me like the shaft seal has failed on your water pump and you need to replace the pump, theres usually a tiny hole either at the bottom of the water pump or at the top of the pump its called the weep hole, when coolant comes out of this hole it means the internal shaft seals of the pump have failed and it requires replacement of the pump, now if the coolant is coming out of where the pump bolts onto the engine block you propbably only need the waterpump to block gasket to fix the leak, check and see exactly where the coolant is coming out from so you can be sure exactly what you need to replace....

Water pump leaking. This car has a 4cyl. quad motor, I hear its a big project to change the water pump. can you help?

Have to look at the new pump, some are a splined shaft that just slides on to the gear ,those are fairly easy,if the new pump has a gear on the end the whole front cover and timing chain has to come off ,big job.
