Check the ignition barrel electrical connections before doing anything, they are a common fault and do detach and cause wiring shorts, this fools the vehicle into thinking its being stolen. There is also a unit situated behind the dashboard clocks which are also a known common fault, its part of the immobilizer and also are well known to short out when being jump started with leads or a booster pack, it isnt coded. Hope it helps good luck.
