Says auto and show no front wheel or 4 wheel drive just auto in middle
There is nothing wrong with the system. When the TOD is in auto it will only engage the front wheels when the rear wheels lose traction. Newer small SUVs have just the opposite, they are in front wheel drive until they lose traction and then engages the rear. Isuzu was ahead of its time with the TOD system.

You need a new vacuum solenoid actuator for your front differential. Runs about $200. It is easy to replace. The grease gums up after 14 years and causes it to get stuck.

The place to start would be to scan your vehicle's computer network fo fault codes. Until this is done, there is nobody in the world that can do anything more than "GUESS" what could be causing your problems.
