The correct way to solve your issue is to have the new lock cylinder pinned to the original key and use the original key.

May be keyfob needs reprogramming.

Keyfob remote reprogramming is not very difficult but on some cases it can be done by dealer service tools.

If the remote s faulty then key fob will not get programmed.

Insert the key in ignition. Turn the key to on position, and cycle the key three times off-on-off-on-off-on. Then with the key fob remote select your remote and then try to operate the vehicle with remote.

These are just the basic procedure, but sometimes it will not help.

On that case dealer is the only option.

This car has a chip key, you can't just put any old key in it it must be programmed to not turn on the security system and disable starting, which is what you have now, the system has locked you out.

the electrical contact switch on the back of teh ignition key switch ahs broken and jammed up it does happen with these cars and if your lucky you may be able to just buy this part but last time i tried the dealer tried to sell me a complete steering lock as this is not a seperate item so i went to the scrapyard and got one

immobilizer.you need the key and barrell from clio engine and the ecu or else bring to dealer to reprograme the ecu to the key

Go to the dealer. It is the only way, they have to use a computer. Changing the battery doesn't make it lose it's program though. You most likely broke the battery hold down. This is the most common thing I see at my shop. If the key still starts the vehicle, you now have a bad key fob. If not, you may be able to get it reprogrammed.
