If you disconnected the battery you must perform a throttle body relearn procedure. Honda calls it an idle relearn. It has to relearn the home position for the throttle plate because of the loss of power. Here's the procedure
Probably not, perhaps unless the battery has been disconnected for an extended time...
Relearn procedure isn't usually complex and generally there is a period of idling until the engine is fully warmed and then without switching off driving at various speeds for about 20 minutes. When the engine has fully cooled the initial relearning is complete. Learning will continue for the life of the ECU.
The idle should relearn by itself within a minute or so if there are no other problems. Was the battery changed/disconnected? Why do you think you need an idle relearn?
What year make and model of vehicle? In some cases, when the battery is disconnected/removed, the vehicle will need an idle relearn procedure. This can usually be accomplished by keeping the vehicle running with your foot on the gas pedal and gently revving the engine til idle will stay by itself. It is then a good idea to drive the vehicle for any other module relearn that may be necessary. In some cases, the relearn procedure must be accomplished using a scan tool.
The throttle bodies on most newer cars are not adjustable for its idle speed. If the Check Engine Light is on, go to the nearest auto parts store and get them to pull the error codes from your car's computer. Post the codes back here and we can give you a better answer to your question
idle relearn procedure for what??? can you explain what happened, did the idle just act up or did you work on engine, and can you tell me what year, make and model this is and engine size so i can help you better with correct info.
manufacturer does not provide a specific computer relearn procedure for obtaining proper driveability . if the battery was disconnected or replaced , driving the vehicle will enable the computer to preform a relearn procedure for obtaining proper driveability , driveability may differ from what you are used to until computer has fully completed the relearn procedure . cheers
