Stalls while driving

Possibly EGR Valve, What are the codes? And please describe a little more on how the car stalls - such as I come to a stop sign and engine stalls, or engine stalls when I step on gas.....

When you stop if the Mazda stalls try putting the car into neutral gear and see if it still stalls. if the Mazda does not stall in neutral then the torque converter has failed and needs replacing.

If the engine stalls at idle the problem is with idle air control solenoid. You can get it replaced at 50-100 bucks.

check battery connections tighten altenator belt or replace altenator

My guess is that it isn't related to the starter at all, but that you unplugged a vacuum line by accident while installing the starter...take a look.

YOUR TORQUE CONVERTOR CLUTCH (TCC)SOLENOID IS STICKING IN THE ON POSITION. GET IT REPLACED AND YOU WILL BE FINE.

these vehicles have a problem with the torque converters locking up after a long drive. this will cause it to stall when coming to a stop. Do you feel a shuddering when stopping?
