Check fuses under dash, check power seat relays under the hood at main fuse center.Check all wire connectors under the seat.you can use a multimeter to check voltage.

SOURCE: he front passenger power window stop working.

Hi!

You need to check the following to resolve the issue you are facing with---

Check for battery voltage at window switch. If no battery voltage at that switch, check for broken wire between door and body. Bad window switch (see if window can be operated by driver switch or individual switch). Bad window switch connector (pin connectors) broken.

Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

SOURCE: 1995 ford explorer front passenger power seat not working

All of these items are feed by fuse 5 (30amp) in the under hood fuse box. If this fuse is checking good then go to the power seat switch and check the black/white wire there for power.

This wire leaves the fuse and goes thru the center connector of the 3 connectors on the firewall to the left fo the brake booster. It then goes thru another connector located to the left of the steering column under the dash.

Here is a copy of the wiring schematic that may help you....

The only other thing I know to tell you if you can not find that connector by the picture of the location and the picture of the connector is get you a 30 amp fuse holder and fuse and wire it to the black/White wire at the seat switch. That should get them working. This and other details could be find in the Ford Explorer Service Manual (I have the same year and model XLT).

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Front drivers seat will not slide back and forth.

No, check for a blockage in the seat track. You have one power source for all seat functions. If it works one way but not the others it is either a bad switch, or bad motor, or a blockage.

My passenger seat won't lock into position. It slides back and forth as I drive and the bar that you pull on to move it back and forth is stuck in the up position.

There is a spring that pull's the handle back to lock position that might be broke or the locking mechanism might be gummed up.the spring can't be bought seperatly so check a hardware store or replace the seat track assembly.

You can move the drivers seat back by turning on the power, getting in the seat and position your feet firmly on the fron flor with your back firmly against he seatback, and then engage the switch pushing back - while pushing like hell with your feet. You can actually hear the seat drive shaft turning while the seat moves back. The principle should be the same for moving forward, but pressure would have to be aplide to the back of the seat.

Power seat switch

It is most definitely the seat slide motor. Most infiniti drivers seats have three different motors. I30, I35's and QX4's all had problems with the seat slide motors. You can tap on the slide motor which is under the front of the seat and it will probably work for a little while, but it WILL stop working completely. There was actually a Technical Service Bulletin regarding this issue because there were so many vehicles that had this problem. I hate to see that guy waste money trying to get a circuit board rebuilt that absolutely will not solve the problem.

Passenger seat won't go back

I have had the same problem. It occurs when you take the key out of the ignition to fast. Sounds stupid but if you turn the engine off and slow down the extraction of the key the seat will move as it should. I was turning off and taking the key out fast and the seat would not retract. Slowed everything down and now it works. Hope this works for you.
