running master low enought for brake light to come on, you might have got air into system, if that is the case you will have to bleed out the breaks. worse case, it would need a new master cyl.

Odds are that your brake proportioning valve is fine, you should try bleeding the brakes first starting with the farthest wheel away from the brake booster ( passenger rear ) and work your way to the nearest ( driver front). Make sure you have plenty of fluid and that your brakes are in good shape before hand.

Replace the leaking line, then bleed the system of all the air in the lines. Start at the furthest point from the reservoir. Until there is no air bubbles in the system.
