SOURCE: how do you get rotor off 2003 hyundia elantra

hi from uk not sure if same as uk hyundai's but here goes ? if you remove wheel do you see two countersunk posi screws between studs that appear to hold rotor ?? if so then you will have to first remove the brake caliper assy by unbolting from the rear of caliper two 13 mm spanner/socket ? then you remove the two bolts that secure the carrier that the caliper bolts to 17 mm spanner/socket now you can remove the two contersunk screws then you may have to tap the rotor off the hub from rearuse a wire brush to clean up/away all rust/dust from caliper and carrier assys b4 refitting (take precautions from breathing dust) i assume you are fitting new pads ?? reassemble carrier then b4 fitting pads smear a light coating of copper grease on the rear of pad (metal side ) this prevents squealing on brakes then fully reassemble then b4 fitting wheel? bleed the brakee caliper a couple of pumps should expel dirty fluid then fit wheel carry out same proceedure on other brake assy as above fully then b4 you move car pump brake to ensure pedal is firm you will find that bleeding brakes will make pedal firmer as the old fluid becomes compressable due to heat/moisture absorbsion over time and heat from brakes is transferred to fluid via caliper piston understand?? that is why alway policy to bleed/flush brake fluid at least two yr interval this reduces spongy brake pedal hope this is all clear 4 you to follow best wishes for new year and hope you update on how you go on??

SOURCE: 2007 Hyundai Elantra Alarm keeps going off when it is windy

Go to the dealer and have them check the hood pin switch pad, there is a updated part that is longer to make better contact with the hood pin switch. Also, check the trunk lid stricker to make sure it is not bent, that has got me a couple of times.

SOURCE: car alarm going off too often

Interesting!... Did you bend the hood when you took the battery out? Here's a possible cause. On the right hand side of the engine compartment is a hood switch (part of the burglar alarm system.. here's a pic)
0fc0bfa.jpg On the underside of the hood is a rubber button which depresses this switch when you close the hood. If it's missing, then the switch is not being depressed all the way (and can cause the symptom you are experiencing). OR, you bent the hood and the rubber button on the underside of the hood is not pushing the switch all the way down (a wind gust can lift the hood just enough to activate this switch) which sets off the alarm. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Alarm keeps going off randomly

Is it going off for a reason? Is it because a sensor could possibly be failing and causing it to trip the system? Is it because sensitivity is adjusted wrong?

The easiest (depending on the system and what it is in) would be to remove the fuse from the alarm but then you will no longer have protection.

Best thing to do would be take it to a repair shop and have them troubleshoot it for you to minimize the aggravation.

power sounder battery has a fault, first sign its faulty is randomly going off, were the sounder is you need to remove it, and replace it, or you can try to replace the battery inside, you can remove it and alarm will revert to a horn on some models that have a horn fitted but the wiring is in there for a horn to be fitted.

The eco light is always on

Hi there:
The ECO light comes on when the engine is operating in the peak parameters for best fuel mileage (economy). This is based on engine load, transmission gear, vehicle speed, and engine RPM.

Keeping in the parameters to keep the ECO light turned on when possible will gain you the best fuel mileage.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

2000 hyundai elantra alarm goes off where is the

There is NO kill switch on the 2000 Elantra... HOWEVER, there is a thing called the Key Fob (keyless remote entry system). There is, however, a system in place called the 'starter kill' circuit and it is activated when the burglar alarm goes off.... it's called the burglar alarm relay and it is activated to prevent the engine starter system from being used. There are three ways to get the engine started in such a circumstance... 1. use the key fob to 'disarm' the system... 2. put the key in the ignition and turn it to the 'RUN" position and wait until the alarm stops (horn stops beeping and the parking lights stop flashing), then the engine will start.... 3. pull the starter relay from the UnderHood junction box and bypass the starter circuit (key in ignition and in the 'RUN' position), jumper the starter solenoid circuit to energize the solenoid to start cranking the engine -- it should start then.

2005 Hyundia Elantra alarm goes off for no real reason

When a battery starts to go bad it will set the alarm off constantly. Check the date on your battery and if it's between 3 and 4 years old most likely this is the cause. I had it happen before.
