The rear hatch open button will not work
Have you checked the fuse for the circuit the hatch opening solenoid is on? Have you checked to see is power is on the circuit when you push the button? If the fuse is ok and there is power, you need to take things apart to get to the inside of the hatch door. then you need to check the back side of the button for power and check the solenoid with an alternative power source to see if it works or not.
You have to go from the back and remove the upholstery of the trunk and their Is nub you can pull manual

GM had 2 problems in this area, One was the switches generally went bad, this is very easy to diag, pull switch assembly out and jumper the 2 wires across the back of the connector with a small paperclip. If this pops the hatch you need a switch if it doesnt and your power is good at the back of the switch then your solenoid or wiring that goes between the body and the hatch breaks from bending.
