Get your engine scanned for error codes. That will help you figure out where to look first. Many auto parts stores will scan your vehicle for you.

No to the high octane gas. Regular gas is fine. Higher octane gas is more resistant to ignition and is better suited for high compression engines to prevent preignition and detonation. Check or replace your idle air control valve since the car stall at idle when the throttle blade is closed. If the IAC is not working it won't allow for air to bypass the throttle plate. Also have your throttle body cleaned.

it is likely the EGR Valve. If you are going to replace it, make sure that it is the exact valve for your car. Take the Vehicile ID number with you to get the exact Valve.Although they may look exactly the same, your car might not run with another EGR. they are caliberated to the engine and it has to be exact.

I would check your intake gasket. Get your self ome carb cleaner in a spray form/can and perfrom this test. Run the car and spray the carb cleaner on your intake gasket which is right by your injectors. So pretty nuch spray it at the injector rail and listen fot change in idle, If the idle changes, the intake gasket is torn and you are running lean, because of a vaccum leak. Common problem on your model car. Perform test and let me know what you find.

SOURCE: i have a 99 nissan pulsar LX N15 having problems

I have same/similar problem.... if this problem happens off and on... runs well one day and next day is jerky-stalling then it's more than likely your airflow meter

Car stalls when hot or AC running at traffic light

Hello,
The most likely problem is the Air Intake Control Motor. On this car, I don't believe it is next to the throttle body. I believe it is on the opposite side of the intake manifold, and it is very difficult to reach. The throttle is on the driver-side of the manifold, but the idle air control valve, I believe, is on the passenger-side. It seems strange, but I believe it is true. It has four bolts holding it in place. You could also try to clean it using carb cleaner spray and the gunk should be dislodged and the problem will go away. If the problem doesn't fully clear then a new one is needed.

Good Luck!

1990 Acura starts & runs fine but has been stalling out when accelerating after stopping at an intersection.

1) Turn on all electric systems- AC/wipers/radio/lights etc

2) if car stalls randomly at low RPM - Replace the Alternator
These cars are very sensitive to fluctuations in voltage and it will stall.

Idle problem (stalling) when car reaches full hot

There's a possibility that the ECT (engine coolant temp.) sensor isn't working the way it's supposed to. The engine may be at operating temp but the sensor may be telling the engine computer it's cold still and it'll act like an automatic choke on a carb. engine.

How do I get to the rear Speaksers of a 2001 Nissan Altima to remove and replace? (They are located on the rear window back panel)

Good morning, I own a 2001 Nissan Altima. When I run my AC and stop, or put it in reverse, my car stalls. I would just turn off my AC, but now when I am on the Interstate it tends to "pull" like if i was losing power.

When you turn a/c on the rpms begin to drop down and go up again and it stalls at intersections, this started as soon as i changed to a new battery

when you disconnect battery your pcm loses it memmory. it has to relearn its program.its going to keep stalling until it relearn to idle .take it to dealer to reset relearn idle on pcm.it would be safer.because stalling car is dangerous in traffic.

2002 New VW Beetle is only blowing hot air out of vents even when set on cool. I was driving and I made a turn at an intersection and all of a sudden the cool vent air turned to hot air like I had the heat...

On the bottom of the air unit is the lever that changes temps. It likes to fall out of place.I propped mine back with a piece of half-inch copper pipe a couple of years ago.Remove glove box then panel on front side of console to access.
