Wont disengage out of 4 wheel drive 1998 ford ranger first time its stuck in 4 low we have backed up turned switch numerous times shut it off and restarted

Be sure to put the truck in neutral, while engine is running, while you disengage from 4 wheel drive (low) to 4 wheel drive (high) and then finally to 2 wheel drive. It is critical to shift transmission into neutral when switching out of 4WD Low, as indicated in your owner's manual. Hopefully, this will help to FixYa problem!

4 wheel drive doesnt work.

Has this Jeep been modified at all?
It sounds like the shifter cable was reinstalled backwards.
Specifically the 4-Low "Not Climbing Well". 4-Low should give you the best torque and hill climbing ability.
Do you feel any "Binding" in the steering wheel (difficult to turn)?
Remember a Jeep uses real driveshafts and differentials to give you 4WD - you cannot engage 4WD or 4-Low on dry hard surfaces. It needs a little bit of slip between the wheels for turns.
Check you're fluids too.

1994 s10 blazer stuck in 4 wheel drive

First see if there's a fuse for the 4 wheel swich controls. Look in the owners manual. The light is on and driving bad probably because its stuck in 4 hi?
With the info you posted you could have a bad relay or a bad solenoid in the tranny if it uses solenoids to shift. Sounds for sure like an electrical problem since it won't come out. It could also be in the electronic control switch (controls, buttons) which are not the best quality to begin with.
