Yes, you need to set your camshaft end distributor timing to TDC. (top dead centre). now you start vehicle, and adjust your distributor timing to 10% after tdc, on the coast or 8% inland

SOURCE: check engine light code 15 on 91 honda accord dies while driving

Have come across this before and have only had to replace any parts a couple of times. What I have found to be the problem in about half the cases was that there was a poor connection in the connector at the right shock tower. Also in about 30 percent of the case I have found an open wire that was just old and as it got hotter would lose it's continuity. Below is a picture of one of the connectors at the distributor. When you are having problems check to see if you have battery voltage at the yellow wire by using your negative battery terminal as your ground when checking for voltage and the key needs to be in the "on" position when checking. If voltage is not correct find the open wire. Last but not least, in the other connector at the distributer (see the next picture) where you see the leter "A" or terminal "A" with the key on and using the battery as a ground you should have about 10 volts there. If not correct, replace the ignitor. It may be heating up but as I said this is not common but have seen it before. Remember to check when the problem is happening when checking. Hope this helps.....

SOURCE: Car reving up and down on its own 3 to 4 times, then sputtering and dying?

The previous solution to check the idle air contol is in the correct area but needs some clarification.
The idle control is accomplished by two parts: Throttle position sensor ( $35 at Autozone) and idle contol valve approx $190. I replaced the throttle position sensor about a week ago and it runs perfect
to date but am a skeptic after almost two years of dealer incompetance. I researched all the sensors and failure symptoms on the internet and the throttle position sensor failure symptoms matched mine
exactly. See http://wiki.seloc.org/a/Throttle _Position_Sensor

SOURCE: When I start the car, it dies when I press the accelerator

this sounds like a mass air flow sensor problem. they make a cleaner for the m.a.f. try that first and see if your problem goes away. if not you might have to replace the m.a.f.

SOURCE: my car starts and then dies

sounds like a security issue they installed a factory security system which will prevent the vehicle from running unless its reset go to passenger door lock turn key twice it worked for me after chasing other problems for a few hours

Can't find park gear on my 92 honda ballade 160i. Please help. When in park, it reverse and when in reverse it is neutral.

The cable that connects the gear change lever to the transmission is incorrectly adjusted. You will need to get it onto a hoist and adjust the cable until you can select all the gears. ideally you want a workshop manual for this as it will give you the exact details of how to adjust it. However you can probably do it by trial and error but it may take a while.

Could be the throttle position sensor or the pedal position semsor is playing up, might be that a diagnostic might show what the problem is.

Before you do that ensure that you engine is in good tune, this will save time and money in the long run

Change the thermostat? Probably did, since you went after the computer. Does the car really over heat? Or does the gauge just go high(bad gauge). If the engine does over heat, then it could be the water pump, or to much sediment in the engine(Something blocked). I have seen both.

HONDA BALLADE 160I CUTTING OUT AT 3500 RPM

The Nippon-Denzo Distributor's are known to have problems. I had the same issue for 3 months where it would cut out and sometimes, actually kill my car. Finally I spend the $200 and put a new Distributor in the car and it fixed my problems. there are 2 different Distributors for your car, make sure you get the right one or it will not work.

My honda ballade is consuming a lot of fuel and it has a black smoke what might be the cause

The coolant temperature sensor adjust the air to fuel ratio depeneding on the temperature of your engine. If it is bad it will run your engine too rich(to much gas, not enough air) and it will run rought at idle and definatly have black smoke, good-day! its worth a try ! In some cases you can unplug the sensor and the PCM will compensate by running a default air/fuel ratio and in some cases allowing the car to run without the sensor, I'd just replace it.
